An interesting article from the Ladies Home Journal in 1900 reporting on what they believed to be the big changes ahead for the 100 years to follow for mankind. Some predictions proved quite accurate, such as increased life expectancy through better medicine and air travel, while others, such as giants vegetables or an insect-less earth, did not.
